Our Learning Environment

Our 'pack away' setting is based out of Christ Church in Tetbury. We are passionate about providing a learning environment that is exciting, but also allows space for the children to initiate their own learning. The room is set up with different zones and each staff member is responsible for a zone, keeping activities fresh and tailoring resources to develop skills and language.

We have two members of staff who have completed accredited Forest School training and our Forest School site is a unique and engaging space. Find out more about our Forest School here.

We regularly take walks around the town to visit places such as the Library, as well as having opportunities to visit Westonbirt Arboretum, St Mary's Primary School and the Fire Station.

We use a parent portal called 'Famly' which allows us to record all aspects of a child's care and communicate with our families. Having previously used iPads to take images and videos of the children, we have, in the past year, changed to iPhones as a more discreet way to document the children as they learn and play. Our parents and children love looking through the session update at the end of each day and seeing themselves in photos and videos!

The report from our recent (March 2024) Ofsted Inspection, in which we were rated OUTSTANDING, mentions how well our staff utilise our outside learning area. You can read the report in full, here.
